An umbrella association of all microfinance banks in Nigeria requires for immediate employment, a highly resourceful and organized person to run the affairs of the Association:


EXECUTIVE SECRETARY/CEO

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The duties of the Executive Secretary will include the following:
• Overseeing the day to day operations of the association’s Secretariat to ensure the achievement of its mission which is to become the world’s leading self regulatory association of microfinance banks;
• Liaising with all regulatory authorities, government agencies, the press and members of the association;
• Up-to-date rendition of statement of accounts;
• Providing the Council, Executive Board and all committees with all needed support;
• Providing a business plan and budget for the association;
• Handling of all matters relating to registration, certification and admittance of members


QUALIFICATION:
A good first degree or its equivalent in humanities or social sciences. An MBA or membership of relevant professional bodies such as CIBN, ICAN will be an added advantage.


EXPERIENCE:
• 7 years working experience in key managerial positions in any financial institution or related areas. Experience as an Executive Director in a non-profit organization with focus in microfinance or small business is an advantage
• The ideal candidate for this position must not be less than 35 years old


SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Strong management skills and good knowledge of microfinance operations and regulatory environment;
• Strong analytical skills, e.g ability to read and interpret financial statements;
• Excellent computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications and internet;
• Strong written and oral communication skills
